Singer, Producer, Songwriter & rare Artist Seven Davis Jr was born on April 3 in Houston, Texas. As a child he was raised in Northern California where he trained as a gospel & jazz singer, brought up on the vocal influences of artists such as Prince, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson. SDJ has released music and remixes on Ninja Tune, Classic Music Co, Defected, Stonesthrow and plenty more. He has also worked with artists like Honey Dijon, Fourtet, Hot Chip, Steve Spacek, Lion Babe, and John Cale to name a few as well as sharing stages worldwide with artists from Moodymann, Flying Lotus, Mark Farina, Benji B, Slum Village, Mark Ronson plus many more.
